Wheelthrown porcelain bowl, glazed on interior with laser decals design and overglaze colour.
This series of vessels are the wheel thrown porcelain. Extending on my previous work with scanned skeleton leaf images applied as laser print decals, I am exploring the use of overglaze in this work. Requiring a third, lower firing, the colour choice is far more extensive than is possible with glazes. Employing glazed and unglazed, polished surfaces, image designs are composed directly onto the surface so each piece tells a unique story.
